I know we're all busy and don't get much time to stop by, but I just wanted everyone to know I'm still kicking and I miss you all.

I hope your lives are going wonderfully.

(((((((((((((BIG-HUGE-HUGS)))))))))))))) To all my online family and friends.

Until next we meet, may the wind be at your back, your enemies be feeble and weak, and may you always have a reason to smile.

It feels like eons since I've been on here. It's funny how quickly time passes when you're consumed by the RL.

I hear ya. I was busy enough when I was just working in an office that's understaffed, but now I've added school to it all to get out of the office and get a job working from home. Sometimes I feel like I need a 50+ hour day just to get anything done it seems. I'm hoping that once I'm done with school, and have a better job because of it, I'll be able to enjoy life again. Instead of feeling like I'm running around in circles.

How have things been going for you? Good I hope.

I can certainly understand that.

I'm too old to start over. Just another 10 years and I'm retired! I'll tough it out until then. *Grumble*

I'm blessed to wake up each day with air in my lungs. :) How are you doing, doll?

Well I'm 58 and the legs are going fast. The joys of arthitis, but one of the reasons I got the house I did is because it's wheelchair friendly. So, if it ever gets that far, I'm already set housing wise. I won't have to move or do a bunch of adaptive remodeling. A ramp over two steps and something to get me up the basement steps is probably it. Otherwise I'm doing pretty good healthwise. Just super busy with all of it.

Getting the stuff together to start an indoor garden project. I have a big metal shelving unit in my back bedroom. I'm going to place it along one wall. It'll get some light from two separate windows, plus it'll be easy to install extra lighting on it for the plants and there are power outlets nearby. I'm going to use it for herbs and small items I may use frequently for cooking. Nothing big. That way, they'll be super convenient to my kitchen. That room and my kitchen actually share a common door.

Also, in the basement I have an extra room I'm going to convert into a grow room. It's like 10ft x 12ft, so I figure I can grow bigger things in it. Things like larger tomatoes, potatos, onion, peppers, etc. Nothing like corn. I don't have the floor to ceiling space. Thinking on a few dwarf fruit trees, like oranges, lemons, limes.

Getting a good bit of the stuff I need off Temu really cheap, which is helpful. I'm looking forward to not only puttering around in my indoor garden, even when it's freezing outside, but also seeing how it affects my grocery bills and enjoying the fresh food without wondering what's been sprayed on it. I've been checking out worm composters too to make replacement soil and put organic wastes to good uses.

My daughters keep trying to talk me into dating again. I keep telling them no thank you. I'm enjoying my single life and not getting lied to or cheating on, then left because they think they can get something better. I do believe karma truly loves me. I'm doing great, and happier since he left then I've ever been in my entire life. I'm enjoying my independence and getting so spoiled from it all, and him and her are broke and miserable. The situation post breakup speaks for itself. My life is roses and theirs' is more like a cesspool.

What was really funny was how about six months after he pulled the shit he did, after he caught her cheating on him and learned it wasn't the first time, he asked my girls if they thought I could ever forgive him and take him back. I almost pissed myself laughing. I wasted over 25yrs on him. He doesn't get it. It's not that he left. It's how he left. Take him back? NEVER! Nobody is taking away my peace and happiness. lol

Well that is pretty much where things are these days in a nutshell. What have you been up to? Anything that requires bail money? lol

Oh my goodness! I had no idea all of that was going on. I'm so very sorry you had to experience that. :(

I am glad that you've found peace, happiness, and a passion though! Light at the end of a very long, dark, tunnel, I assume.

I'm doing that as well, though I'm not faring very well with it at the moment. I've got a TuffShed that I purposefully turned into a greenhouse. All my seedlings did great, up until I went to transplant them into larger pots so that I they could start producing veggies. Yeah, they never actually did produce except for the cherry tomato plant. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but with like everything else...practice, practice, practice. It's certainly not a cheap hobby to start off with. I think I went overboard because everytime I saw something on FB Marketplace, I got it. LOL But I'm sure once you get into the swing of things, the grocery bill will go way down. ;)

Oh no, I'm trying to stay out of trouble. LOL My worst sins right now are gluttony and sloth...especially after the last couple of surgeries, but I'm working on it.

Well I managed to get my home office put together. I made two areas. One for my personal stuff and one for my school and work stuff. Once I finish school and get a work at home job I want to keep my personal stuff separated from work stuff, so I figured a space for each. The purple side is my personal desk. They both have lights that I can pick the colors and even set them to the do stuff like flash.

Yes. Warcraft is on my personal desktop. I kill things for gold. If it's hidden, I will find it. If it bleeds, I will kill it. If it has loot, it's mine! lol

I also have my garden shelf in the same room. The rest of my indoor garden is in my basement. I figure about the time I'm harvesting the people planting outside will just be getting ready to plant. I'm trying to stagger my crops so I can buy fresh local when available and avoid the grocery store as much as possible when not available. When I harvest they plant and when they harvest I plant.

The black planter I have multiples of in the basement. I took that picture right after I put the first one together, then took it down into the basement garden. I'm planning on using one entire unit for strawberries and nothing but strawberries. :)

In the basement, I also have big planter boxes and buckets for things like beef steak and cherry tomatoes, dwarf sweet corn, sweet peppers, etc. I already have buckets of mints started as well. I placed the mints far away from anything, including each other, so they can't invade anything else's space or war with each other. Mints tend to be aggressive. I have them set up so all they can do is give each dirty looks from their perspective corners. lol

I'm using shop lights instead of grow lights. I decided on shop lights after talking to some people who told me they work just as well as shop lights and are a lot cheaper. You just have to make sure your plants are getting at least 5000 lumens and no more than 10000. Mine are getting 8000 and everything is doing great. In fact, most things have sprouted earlier than expected as well.
