Smoky Chicken & Pepper Mac

4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves, about 1 pound.
1 package (14oz) deluxe four cheese macaroni & cheese dinner.
1 cup milk
1 medium red pepper, chopped
1/4 cup bacon bits
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat.
Add chicken, and cover.
Cook chicken for 4 minutes on each side, or until thoroughly cooked.
Remove chicken from skillet and cover to keep warm.
Add 1 ½ cups water, macaroni, and milk to skillet.
Bring to boil, cover and reduce heat.
Simmer on medium-low for 8 minutes.
Stir in cheese sauce, red pepper, and bacon bits.
Add chicken and top with mozzarella cheese.
Cover and continue simmering for 5 minutes, or until macaroni is tender and mozzarella is melted.

4 servings.
