Realms of Black Lake is a fantasy, medieval role play gaming forum and chat. We don't use dice or a scoring system like xp points. As players play, they write a sort of adventure story together. Each one contributes to the tale. Making it richer and more interesting with every new post.

Gaming here is set within a group of isolated, medieval realms on a lost continent, and a few nearby islands. The realms stretch from the tropics to the ice bound lands of the North, and offer many varied places and environments to explore. The possibilities are virtually endless. Like a player's imagination.

We don't use dice, but we do have Mods. Mods may help to keep things fun in many ways. They enforce the rules of conduct, and deal with troublemakers. So they don't ruin the games for others. They may also occasionally introduce items, obstacles, monsters, or other things into a story to help make it more fun.

If you're a person who enjoys writing with others and fantasy role play, especially in a medieval environment, the realms is a good place to do those things.

We've actually put a lot of effort and time into providing our players with a basic structure on which to build. There is nothing like a sturdy foundation for building a dream house. Now is there? So come on! Let's all dream together of times long ago and all the magic that could have been!
