This is meant to be a guide. You can add to it if you want, but include at least what is here in the creation of your character. This much at least is required.

Age
Hair color
Eye color & how many
Skin color & type - Like if they have blue scales instead of regular skin.
Generation - First, second, whatever.
Powers - Be reasonable. Too many is just too many.
--Say 4 is a good limit. Any more and the character really starts to look overloaded and a little stupid.

Remember: This is X-Gens. The original mutants were they're ancestors, and it's possible they may have their own powers, but they may have also inherited from their parents and grandparents too. Not always, but sometimes.
